This Christmas world crisis is over

It has been checked by the statistical office that some nations spent at least 15% more on Christmas preparations and presents than last year.

The quantity and quality of presents that were bought and given in my family proves that crisis must be over. It may be also the case that we do not think rationally during this holiday time.

We get back to some senses in the new year. Many head to the gym. Others start new saving programs.

Holiday’s problems with English

So it is, July starts a “writing” season and so is Christmas time, or, as politically correct people say, Holiday season. This writing is really difficult because a person has a will and wish to share personal thoughts with others but at the same time there’s a fear of saying too much.

I also find it difficult to write these words in English because it is not my mother tounge, and, as I’ve been criticized for having problems with the language. Is this true?

I remember asking, few years ago, a so-called native speaker to help me with my writing skills and I found him saying he didn’t know all words I wrote. He was a middle-class person from the United Kingdom and wasn’t using as many sophisticated words as foreigners are taught at schools or English courses.

Would an American say to an Englishman: “your English is poor” just because he/she would have problems to understand it?

So, do I have problems with English language?

Jesli tak, czas zaczac pisac po polsku. Si oui, je peux ecrirer en francais aussi.

Does July start a “cucumber season”?

July makes me share what I have on my mind.

See here: http://users.utu.fi/aamasl/Welcome.html

for my last year’s ideas caused by July.

Today the new beginning with even more fascinating world of central bankers. Since the summer is in its full power, I choose some nice ocean breeze for cooling.

Thanks to Mats (Sweden) for supporting this “central banker with a twist” blogging.

Welcome to My Blog(k)

I have never been to Zimbabwe. I’m not sure I want to go there. I may easily go bankrupt and have problems to come back. I must, however, give credit to Gideon Gono, Zimbabwe’s central bank governor. His latest statement made me follow the trend of writing blogs, despite my ever lasting rule of going against the mainstream.

It’s worth of bringing Gono’s words here. They had even greater impact on me than Willem H. Buiter’s opinion about the Maastricht Treaty*.

Anyone who says the bank governor should violate the head of state is violating a principle that Jesus Christ demanded of his disciples. A key element Christ looked for in his disciples was loyalty.”  – Gideon Gono, July 2008.

I spend my days on searching and reading such interesting opinions, which give me inspiration for my research. Anyone who wishes to read about the fascinating world of central banks from the perspective of a non-central banker, is very Welcome to My Blog.

W przyszlosci moze uda mi sie znalezc polskie litery w moim Mac-u. Poki co, bedzie z bledami. Pozdrawiam – Ola
